Thank you so much to all Bay Democrats members for your outstanding support for both District Leaders Margarita Kagan and Councilman Ari Kagan who ran unopposed this year! It happened because of the hard work of all club members, especially during petitioning time when we collected three times more signatures than it was legally required in support for all our candidates.

We did not challenge petitions of your opponents. We won this race the old way - on a ballot box!

On Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., there will be a last monthly meeting of Bay Democrats club before summer break.
The meeting will take place at 2508 Coney Island Avenue, second floor (with elevator), Brooklyn, NY 11223.
Elected officials and judicial candidates are invited.
Light refreshments.

We will discuss upcoming Democratic primaries (June 28 and August 23) for NYS Assembly, NYS Senate and U.S. Congress.

On Wednesday, May 4, 7-9 P.M., there will be a monthly meeting of Bay Democrats club - in person. 2508 Coney Island Avenue, 2nd floor, Brooklyn, NY 11223.
District Leaders Ari Kagan and Margarita Kagan invited elected officials, judicial candidates and community leaders to this meeting.
We will have an important discussion about upcoming Democratic primaries.
Light Refreshments would be served.

The Bay Democrats club, District Leaders Ari Kagan and Margarita Kagan strongly support our long-time member and community leader Brian Gotlieb, experienced attorney and legal clerk for Supreme Court Judge Joy Campanelli, founder of the Shorefront Toys for Tots, for a Civil Court Judge in the 8th Municipal District, Brooklyn.

We were joined by Senator Diane Savino, Senate candidate Jessica Scarcella-Spanton, former Council member Domenic Recchia, many community leaders and activists at the event in support of Brian Gotlieb for Civil Court Judge. His campaign is very strong and recently filed almost 8,500 signatures under petitions in support of his candidacy. Brian Gotlieb is a tireless advocate for our communities and a very qualified jurist. We are confident he would be a great judge!

The Bay Democrats Club celebrated its 10th Anniversary on Tuesday, April 5, at the Lights of Baku Restaurant in Gravesend.

Council Member and Democratic District Leader Ari Kagan (45th AD), District Leader Margarita Kagan and Bay Democrats presented:

* Attorney of the Year Award - Levitsky Law Firm PLLC (Attorneys Dmitry Levitsky & Yuriy Yaroslavskiy)
* Victoria Stancil Community Leadership Award - Carolyn Weathers, Board Member, Marlboro Resident Association (Amarilys Herrera , President of Marlboro Resident Association, accepted this award on behalf of Carolyn who was absent)
* Community Service Award - Muhammad Shahbaz Wattoo, Marhaba Pharmacy, Bath Beach business owner and Pakistani American Community Leader
* Community Service & Business Professional Award - Priscilla Co***lo, Esq., prominent attorney and Gravesend Community Leader

The event was attended by Democratic District Leader (46th AD) and State Assembly candidate Dionne Brown, candidate for NYS Lieutenant Governor Diana Rena, candidates for NYS Senate Jessica Scarcella-Spanton and Iwen Chu, many judges and judicial candidates, community leaders and activists from various neighborhoods of Southern Brooklyn.

The audience enjoyed musical performances by talented singers Anna Malkina and Yury Viderman, tasty food from Lights of Baku and interesting program.

Bay Democrats club was founded 10 years ago and became an influential and unifying voice of Southern Brooklyn communities.

Congratulations to all honorees on their well-deserved awards! Thank you to all club volunteers who made this event a success!

The 45th Assembly District includes parts of Brighton Beach, Manhattan Beach, Homecrest, Sheepshead Bay, Midwood, Gravesend, including Marlboro Houses, and Beach Haven.

Bay Democrats club hosted its first monthly meeting of 2022. We discussed current political news, including first decisions by Mayor Eric Adams, election of the new Council Speaker Adrienne Adams and the redistricting process for U.S. Congress, NYS State Assembly and State Senate. We welcomed Democratic District Leader Dionne Brown from the 46th AD and many incumbent judges as well as judicial candidates.

District Leaders Margarita Kagan and Councilmember Ari Kagan wished all attendees a Happy and Healthy New Year and praised great community work by Bay Democrats members: Pervez Siddiqui, Erum Hanif, Bella Gubenko, Amarilys Herrera, Brian Gotlieb, Lina Chen, Sam Tsang, Oswalt Heymann, and others.

This year club is ready to support its candidates for various political positions. All endorsements would be announced in February. Club members reiterated their priority in fighting hatred and bigotry by bringing people and communities together, helping neighbors and supporting great charitable causes.
