The Bay Democrats Club celebrated its 10th Anniversary on Tuesday, April 5, at the Lights of Baku Restaurant in Gravesend.
Council Member and Democratic District Leader Ari Kagan (45th AD), District Leader Margarita Kagan and Bay Democrats presented:
* Attorney of the Year Award - Levitsky Law Firm PLLC (Attorneys Dmitry Levitsky & Yuriy Yaroslavskiy)
* Victoria Stancil Community Leadership Award - Carolyn Weathers, Board Member, Marlboro Resident Association (Amarilys Herrera , President of Marlboro Resident Association, accepted this award on behalf of Carolyn who was absent)
* Community Service Award - Muhammad Shahbaz Wattoo, Marhaba Pharmacy, Bath Beach business owner and Pakistani American Community Leader
* Community Service & Business Professional Award - Priscilla Co***lo, Esq., prominent attorney and Gravesend Community Leader
The event was attended by Democratic District Leader (46th AD) and State Assembly candidate Dionne Brown, candidate for NYS Lieutenant Governor Diana Rena, candidates for NYS Senate Jessica Scarcella-Spanton and Iwen Chu, many judges and judicial candidates, community leaders and activists from various neighborhoods of Southern Brooklyn.
The audience enjoyed musical performances by talented singers Anna Malkina and Yury Viderman, tasty food from Lights of Baku and interesting program.
Bay Democrats club was founded 10 years ago and became an influential and unifying voice of Southern Brooklyn communities.
