NYPL BridgeUp NYPL BridgeUp is a free, year-round and interactive Out-of-School Time (“OST”) program provide by NYPL dedicated to helping students reach their potential.

Invested in the educational and developmental success of all its students, BridgeUp provides its Scholars with opportunities to learn and have fun by using a customized, holistic approach to support students in developing the skills, mindset, and resources necessary to graduate from high school on time and to successfully pursue a post-secondary plan. BridgeUp offers daily academic support, resour

ces to explore extra-curricular interests and passions, and an array of exciting field trips throughout the city. Staff serve as mentors to Scholars, guiding them through high school, preparing them for college admissions, and making sure that all Scholars have what it takes to achieve their goals. From team projects to one-on-one mentoring, BridgeUp allows teens to find their voices, discover what they love, and develop the skills they need to meet their dreams.

Anne Frank was born in Frankfurt, Germany, on 90 years ago. Following the end of World War II her father Otto, the only member of the Frank family to survive the Holocaust, ensured that Anne's diary reached publication in 1947. The book would be read worldwide, and translated into over 70 languages. This is one of the last photos taken of Anne before the family went into hiding.
