Who am I, and what special license do I have to give a testimony about my life? This is not a very hard question to answer. I am you, one of billions of humans on this Earth with pain, happiness, struggles, and good times. This ministry allows me to tell the testimony of who I was and who I became. With God on my shoulders throughout my life (most of the time not realizing it), it was only a matte
r of time before I would come crashing down to my knees and say “uncle” or give into death. Now at the age of fifty-six, I am a husband, father, step-father, friend, son and most of all, a servant of the Lord. From behind bars, I was set free from the chains that I could not break free without the few words from my lips and my heart wholly crying out, “Lord, I love You and I can’t live without You. I accept You as my personal Savior. Free my heart from the oppression of sin and guide me into a life that represents empowerment, encouragement and service. Forgive me Lord of my sins. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.” From behind bars, I went from being a criminal and addict to serving Christ as my Savior as a Worship Leader, servant and of late, a Park Ranger. Sitting behind bars makes a man think about a lot of things. Before I knew Him, I didn’t think the Lord would ever touch me in the way He did. Boy did I underestimate His power. I am not giving a testimony to compare my war stories with anyone else’s life. There are many more people who have had much worse life experiences than I. My reason for following through with this ministry is to give hope where there doesn’t seem to be any. My prayer is that many teenagers or even adults will be saved from a world of self-inflicted pain and suffering. That they will be thrust into a world that may not be perfect, but will know peace that a man who died on a cross to save us from our sins and ourselves, will walk with us through any and all things the world throws at us. I am not a superstar athlete or rock star. I am just an ordinary guy who wants to share some tools from the Word of God and the experiences that I have been through that helped shape the man I am today and can help you or someone you know start a new life through Jesus Christ. So, sit back and open your mind and heart to the story through testimony and life-changing words of encouragement that I will present to you. You can be encouraged that you too, can be a "world-changer" and with the hope that you or someone you love will never have to say the words that haunt so many of us, “How did I mess my life up so much that I feel I can’t get out of the hole I’m in.” I pray that you won’t have to go “through hell to get to Heaven.”
