FYI - Trumps Executive order directive for M-25-13

OMB Memorandum M-25-13 is a directive from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) that temporarily pauses federal grants, loans, and other financial assistance programs. The pause, which was set to take effect on January 28, 2025, applies to programs that conflict with Executive Orders under the Trump Administration, particularly those related to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, foreign assistance programs, clean energy, and other policies inconsistent with administration priorities.¹

The memorandum requires federal agencies to identify and review all federal financial assistance programs to determine which ones may be impacted by the President's executive orders. During this review period, agencies are instructed to temporarily pause all activities related to obligation or disbursement of federal financial assistance.

However, it's worth noting that the White House has since rescinded OMB Memorandum M-25-13, following a federal court's decision to halt part of the directive. The rescission aims to end confusion and allow the government to focus on enforcing the President's orders on controlling federal spending.

Wow, what an incredible evening we had yesterday at the Ahavas Sholom Synagogue Museum! 🤩

We were thrilled to display the stunning artwork of award-winning artists Lorena Ramos (our Vice President), Linda Riveras, and Karina Juliette Barahona. The historic landmark provided a beautiful backdrop for their creations.

We're grateful to Rabbi Eliyahu and Eric Friedman for hosting our event and providing us with such a unique and inspiring venue.

Huge thanks to my amazing team: Milla Liberson (CFO), Monika Rocks (Secretary), and Felix Deprey (Community Event Planner Co-Chair) for their hard work and dedication.

And what would an event be without music?! 🎵 We were treated to fantastic Latin Jazz performances by our Music Band Leader Jose Luis Abreu and special guest, 3-time Grammy Award Winner Baden Goyo! 🎶
