⚡ Big safety upgrade at Easton Newberry Sports Complex! ⚡Newberry Parks & Recreation is excited to announce that our new Perry Weather system is officially installed and ready to help keep our fields safer for everyone! 🌦️

Here’s how it works: if lightning is detected within a 10-mile radius of the Easton Newberry Sports Complex, the system will automatically activate:
🚨 A siren
✨ A strobe light
📢 An audible alert message
When conditions are safe again, the system will issue an all-clear message—letting athletes, coaches, officials, and families know that play may resume. ✅

This added layer of protection helps us make timely weather-related decisions while supporting a safer experience for everyone who visits our complex. The Perry Weather system for Champions Park will be installed within the next week or two!

📲 Newberry neighbors: Download the Perry Weather app to receive timely weather updates and alerts as needed. Because in Newberry, we’re always playing it safe! 💙💛
