Our hearts are full after celebrating the 9th Annual Sussex County Pride 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ event this past Saturday right here in Newton! ♥️🧡💛💚💙💜

It was a beautiful afternoon filled with live music, local art, incredible performances, and most importantly, community spirit. The Newton Democrats are honored to stand as allies and advocates for our LGBTQ+ neighbors, families, and friends, ensuring our town and county remains a welcoming place for everyone.

Congratulations, Dan Perez! A phenomenal choice to lead the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.

The SCDC is thrilled to finally have Daniel Perez appointed as the Sussex County Prosecutor. This has been years in the making and a long road. Prosecutor Perez was designated by Governor Mikie Sherrill earlier this year, and today we celebrated his ceremonial swearing-in ceremony in Newton with comments provided from NJ Attorney General Jennifer Davenport. Please join us in congratulating Prosecutor Perez!

Our 6th Annual Diaper Drive resulted in the collection of 1,152 diapers that were delivered to the NORWESCAP Diaper Bank this afternoon. 👶 A tremendous thank you to the generosity of those who donated! 💙

We were also fortunate to have and .claregolden_for_sussexclerk accompany us for drop-off to learn more about NORWESCAP’s services for the community and the organization’s current needs.
