Well, after thousands of steps, conversations, an incredible support system, and lots of prayer, I am excited to announce I will be the Republican nominee for Magistrate of District 1 on the ballot in November!
I first want to start with saying praise Jesus. As mentioned before, without his perfect example of what the ultimate sacrifice is, I wouldnāt be willing to sacrifice all my time and energy to serving our people of Jessamine County.
Second, a list of people I want to thank, starting with my wife. Incase you didnāt know, she won Jessamine Counties Art Star award for the district today. Talk about a big day! Anyone that knows her in the classroom understands why she won. Her kids love her! My wife has held the fort down this entire 5 months of me going out, nearly every day after work, knocking on doors. Cleaning, cooking, and most importantly, raising our 2 amazing boys. I love you Morgan Cobb. Next my mother Kathy Madison Cobb has been right there the whole time. Even after putting in an entire day of watching my boys for us while we were at work, she would continue to watch our boys while Morgan and I would go out to events or knock on doors. My mom has always had my back and she is amazing. Tommy Cobb, my father has walked with me hand and hand through this entire process. Giving me advise, showing up when I needed it. A great Godly man that I am blessed to call my father.
I want to congratulate my opponents on a fantastic race they ran. Harry Van Epps and Robert Horn ran a race they can lay their head down at night knowing they gave it their all! It is an honor to serve as the Republican nominee after running against these gentlemen. I also want to congratulate Ashley Curtis on winning the Democratic nominee for district 1!
Last but ABSOLUTELY NOT LEAST!!! I want to thank YOU ALL. The voters!! We did it!! šš½š„³. I could not have done it without each and everyone of you showing up to vote for me today. You all killed it! Grateful is to put it mildly for how I feel toward all of you. I can truly feel the love tonight, and have felt it from the very beginning with all the support I have received from so many of you. A special thanks to everyone that allowed me to place a sign in their yard! ļæ¼Now, the work isnāt done for either of us. I desperately need all of you that showed up to vote for me today, to show up again for me in November. This victory is one that can be celebrated right alongside all of you tonight because it was you all that made it happen. Thank you all so much! Have a great rest of your night.
