So Nikiski Middle High School will be one of the schools discussed about possible consolidation during board work sessions on Tuesday. There are many reasons why NMHS should not be closed down. With the current crisis in funding because there has not been an inflationary increase to the BSA in almost a decade we must have these discussions. I believe it's unlikely that Nikiski will be consolidated for several reasons but if you care about our community school there are a few things you should do.
1. Email the house education committee I'm support of HB69
2. Email your local representatives Bill Elam and Jesse Bjorkman
3. Email Governor Dunleavy
4. Email or testify to the KPBSD Board of Education. Please call me or message me with questions.

I appreciate all the support. It means alot to me. I look forward to serving for another term. We still have absentee and certification before it's official but things look great.

I want to give you a quick list of things that help guide me on the Board of Education.

1. Providing education for all students that focuses on the basics.
2. Keeping our class sizes lower and maintaining our current pupil teacher ratio.
3. I support an increase to the states Base Student Allocation to keep our class sizes low.
4. School should be a safe place for all students without pushing agendas that don't support the nuclear family.
5. Parent input and involvement is key to successful schools.
6. Extracurricular activities do support public education and teach problem solving, teamwork and grit.
7. We need to be good stewards of tax payer money while meeting the obligation of the state constitution to adequately fund public education.
8. We should care about or teachers and help support them.
9. Protect the integrity of athletics and women's sports by making sure its divided by biological s*x.
10. Investing in our students is a great investment.
