Any recommendations on where to stay? Is the Gateway Inn and Suites the only option or is the Navy Lodge also a first option? I called the NAVY BED number and they booked me at the Gateway Inn but from what I can see on the internet the Navy Lodge looks like a better place to stay.
Does anyone have the template of the excel planner that was in the course material? Or a picture of one?
My orders say report NLT 12 Jun, which is a Sunday. Will there be anyone there on Sunday?
What time are we starting school on Monday?
Submarine Learning Facility would like to congratulate its newly selected Senior Chief Petty Officers. BZ! Nuclear LCPO course
My connecting flight to Norfolk was cancelled from Detroit due to inclement weather. I will call the CDO as soon as I get to the gate, it looks like I will miss the first half of tomorrow before I can get in around 1100. Please call me at 8439018081. I will call the school first thing in the am.
This day in Naval Nuclear History

1954 - The world's first nuclear submarine, USS Nautilus (SSN-571) is christened and launched at Groton, Conn.

1961 - USS George Washington (SSBN 598) completes the first operational voyage as a fleet ballistic missile submarine, staying submerged 66 days.
Happy Thanksgiving! To all the travelers this holiday weekend have a safe journey.
Do you remove their spine too?
Scheduled for beginning of the year class, and based on looking at previous posts it looks like gateway or lodge are the way to go...Navy lodge informed me they wont let me book for beginning of year until dec, which is pretty late in the game. Any suggestions?
I will be attending the July 8th course. All the spots at the Lodge and Gateway Inn are full up. What ways are available to get to Ramage Hall from off base, most likely a hotel on Military Avenue? Detailer says rental cars won't be supported by them.
Wanted to verify Uniform of the Day...The about section on this page states Service Khakis but comments in reply to others state NWU's are able to be worn as well. Just want to show up on the 3rd in the right uniform. Thank you and I look forward to attending.
