Slight rant - I’m once again find myself shocked at the depravity of some who claim to be members of my party- enough to take a momentary pause from my Lenten break from social media to write this quick blurb.
Today is the primary election and I would ask everyone who can vote in the Republican primary (Republicans and unenrolleds) to vote for the Republican State Committeeman and State Committeewoman. These people are the folks who set the policy and direction for the Republican Party in the state and it is critical for everyone’s sake that we elect sane and virtuous people.
Unfortunately, there are a group of asshats (that is me being nice) that are resorting to sleazy lies and dirty tricks to try and take over the party. These are the same idiots that bankrupted the party over the past 4 years and lost every race they touched. Not to mention they are without a moral compass and are truly some of the worst (and shockingly unintelligent) people I have ever met.
I’m the current state committeeman and not running for reelection. The man running to take my place that I hope wins is a former Marine Corps officer and attorney named Eric Calton.
The person running for Stare Committeewoman - and the reason for my writing - is a young woman named Amanda Peterson. She is bright, committed, passionate, and what we want as the future of our party. Genuine, sincere, and works hard to get people elected. She volunteered countless hours on my campaign so I’m obviously biased - and she managed Peter Durant’s senate campaign - the first legislative victory we have had in over 4 years.
Anyway, these losers have decided that the way to win this election is to make up lies about this young woman’s character, making up sleazy accusations, and taking their depraved little boy fantasies into the gutter.
The reality is that those putting out these attacks are a group of men in their 50’s and still living in their mom’s basement- losers that have never accomplished anything except for hate. The fact that they think it is appropriate to sexualize a young girl because she has the courage to run for office to try and put the Republican Party back on track I find disgusting.
These are the same people who are so warped that they actually voted against my resolution banning discrimination within the party (shocking that this happened in 2021) - a resolution that passed at the national party unanimously. Anyway, I could go on and on. I am just so disgusted that I’m even living in a time that this conversation needs to take place.
So, if you can- send these cretins a message and vote for Amanda and Eric. A strong, sane, Republican Party in Massachusetts is good for democracy. If you don’t live in my Senate district you can go to: www.howiecarrshow.com and see who he is supporting. * Do you know how horrible these people must be for Howie Carr to take a stand against them and endorse the same people I do? *
And to those who are curious - I am also supporting Nikki Haley for President. While I’m on her leadership team - my number one reason is that she can definitely beat Joe Biden in November and I honestly believe the only person (maybe in the country) that could lose to him is Donald Trump.
Ok, back to my Lenten break! Thanks for listening to me ramble on.
