Yesterday at a social event I met two visiting professors and their child from Eastern Europe.Their careers have taken them here, into the Eastern United States, into Western Europe.
Talking to each of them at separate moments, the spoke effusively about the quality of life, quality of place they experience here. They are truly amazed and grateful for their time here.
In a time that deeply challenges us, we should take a moment to be proud and reflect, locally, on our strength, our resolve, our way of life. It is our midwestern values, our pragmatism, our hope for better for most everyone that defines us. Let's not ever forget that.

In the years ahead, I’ll continue leading with integrity, listening with care, and working every day to move Normal forward. You can count on me to put people over politics and always strive to do what’s right for our community.

Water is essential—and smart planning keeps it safe and affordable. That’s why I’ve supported steady improvements in Normal. Kathleen Lorenz voted "NO" for funding critical improvements. Repeatedly.

THE FACTS: Normal's water is the envy of our neighbors, because we made gradual upgrades to keep water safe and costs stable.

Delaying investments only makes problems worse and more expensive. I’ll always choose long-term solutions over short-term politics—because Normal deserves better.
