Drug Free Cecil Local coalition of community partners focused on reducing the harmful effects of alcohol and drugs.

Drug Free Cecil - MSPF is a local coalition of community partners, in Cecil County, focused on reducing the harmful effects of alcohol and drugs. The Drug Free Cecil - MSPF coalition receives funding from a Federal Grant through the State of Maryland. The funding is used in the community through initiatives such as: law enforcement party patrols, saturation patrols, local liquor board perform

ing compliance checks at retail establishments, working in partnership with the local drug-free communities coaltion, and opioid misuse prevention program. Coalition of Partners include:
-Cecil County Health Department
-Cecil County Public Schools
-Cecil County Sheriff's Department
-Cecil Guardian
-Department of Juvenile Services
-Elkton Police Department
-Maryland State Police
-North East Police Department
-Perryville Police Department
-Union Hospital
-Serenity Health
-Youth Empowerment Source (non-profit)

Many parents believe providing alcohol at home is safer — but research shows early alcohol use increases the risk of:
• Injury
• Poor decision-making
• Future substance misuse
• Unsafe situations

You can still be the “safe house” without supplying alcohol.
