Why do we use different vessels for each season?

Because every season is a celebration. And just like you change the way you decorate your home, your table, and your space when something special comes around, we believe your candles deserve the same thought and intention.

Imagine walking into someone’s home for a huge celebration and everything looked exactly the same as it did every other day. The same table. The same decorations. The same atmosphere. You might wonder… is this even a celebration?

That’s how we feel about our candles.

The seasons bring change. The weather shifts, the colors evolve, the plants change, and even the feeling in the air is different. We want our vessels to reflect that.

Our year-round collections have their own signature look, but when a new season arrives, we want it to feel new. We want you to see it, hold it, burn it, and feel like you’re bringing that season into your home.

Because why should something special look exactly like everything else?

Today, we celebrate family. Today, we celebrate you and all the happiness you’ve brought into our lives. You make everything so much better.

We love watching you grow into yourself , your imagination, your energy, your personality, and everything that makes you you. You give us a run for our money, keep us on our toes, and we wouldn’t trade a single bit of it for the world.

Everything we do, everything we aspire to do, it’s all for you, baby boy. You are our greatest adventure and our biggest joy.

We love you to the moon and back!

September marks 4 years since we opened our doors here in Oakdale.

And honestly, I’m still in awe that this is our story.

We spent two years building ‘Ike Loa in the Bay Area, and when it was time to open a storefront, Tito said, “We gotta do it where we live.”

So we did.

We had lived in Oakdale since 2016, but building a business here meant starting over in many ways. We didn’t know many people, and we were stepping into something completely new.

And as many of you know, this happened during one of the hardest seasons of my life.

The inspiration behind ‘Ike Loa was my Mom. She was the reason I started making candles, and she never got to see the store open.

I wondered how I could do this without her. And then you all showed up.

Oakdale, our surrounding communities, our Bay Area friends, and everyone who has found us along the way, you showed up.

You laughed with us. You cried with us. You listened to stories about Hawai’i. You watched us grow, change, dream bigger and sometimes probably wonder what we’re doing next.

Somewhere along the way, this became more than a storefront. It became a community.

And we are so incredibly grateful.

It probably feels like we say thank you all the time.

That’s because we don’t know another way to say just how much your support means to us.

Every purchase, every workshop, every referral, every visit, every share and every kind word has helped make this dream possible.

Mahalo nui loa.

Thank you for believing in us, welcoming us and allowing us to continue doing what we love.

Four years in, we are still humbled, still grateful, and still just getting started.

Join us September 19th at ‘Ike Loa Candle Co. for a special day of fragrance and giving back!

For just $25, you’ll create your own rollerball perfume oil, with 100% of proceeds going to Oakdale Tiny Paws Rescue!

This isn’t a scheduled class , it’s a pre-purchased walk-in experience! Your ticket reserves your materials, and you’re welcome to stop in anytime between 10 AM–5 PM to make your perfume.

Choose from 40 scents and find the one that speaks to you. Due to the nature of the event, there will be no mixing. Choose from our pre-blended fragrances or a single note — perfect for layering or simply smelling amazing all on their own!

Tickets are required in advance so we can have enough materials ready for everyone.
