Thank you to Nevada Public Radio for sharing the story and helping shine a light on how far The Shade Tree has come! ✨ We have welcomed more than 120 clients into these new spaces, more than double the number of beds we were able to offer before the restrictions.

But these are more than just beds. Each redesigned space offers greater privacy and a place that feels a little more like their own.

There is still more ahead. Every day, individuals and families turn to our shelter for safety and a path forward. Your support helps us continue providing compassionate care and the resources needed to begin again. 🤝

We've come a long way! 🩷

What started as a small leak in December 2024 became a devastating water event that almost led to the shelter’s complete closure. However, The Shade Tree never closed its doors. But with the help of the Smith Family Foundation's $1 million and an additional $900,000 in in-kind donations of materials and labor from the PENTA Building Group, we were able not only to restore the shelter but also to improve it.

Yesterday, we were honored to host our partners, staff, and supporters at our Rise and Restore press conference to celebrate how far we have come and rally around the work that still lies ahead.
