Safety standards matter. So do clear rules and competent rollout.

When longtime providers are dealing with shifting expectations and training that does not even exist yet, that is not accountability.

That is a system failure.

Chadron went from roughly 22 childcare providers to six.

That is not a small decline. That is a warning.

Families, employers, and entire communities depend on childcare. We cannot keep acting like it is somebody else’s problem.

Providers are stretched thin. Patients are getting care in pieces.

That is what happens when the system rewards volume, piles on administrative work, and leaves too few people carrying too much.

Providers do coordinate care, but the system still leaves too much room for communication gaps, missed follow-up, and medication changes to cause problems before anyone catches them.

I’m a realist. I think practically about problem- the root causes, what’s already being done, and how we can actually fix them.

Depending on the issue, the answer may look conservative. It may look progressive.

Evidence and solutions shouldn’t change because of party. Fixing the problem matters more than who gets the credit.

I don’t change my positions to fit into the crowd, and I refuse to tell people what I think they want to hear just to get their vote.
