Motorcycle driver transported with life-threatening injuries following a crash on Boulevard 26

A 63-year-old man was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash on Boulevard 26 near Rufe Snow Dr. The crash was reported to dispatch shortly after 7:30 p.m., where witnesses said a sedan and a motorcycle had collided.

At this point in the investigation, it is unclear whether charges will be filed. The motorcycle driver is listed in critical condition. Boulevard 26 remains closed between Hovenkamp and Rufe Snow while the accident team is on scene.

OP: BLVD 26 closed

Boulevard 26 is closed eastbound between Hovenkamp and Rufe Snow for a crash investigation. Expect delays while the team is out mapping the scene. We’ll provide an update as quickly as possible.

NRHPD is conducting an investigation stemming from a crash where the suspect died from what appears to be a self inflicted gunshot wound while officers were in pursuit.

Fort Worth Police Department is conducting an independent investigation into the 58 year old male’s self inflicted gunshot and crash, which occurred in their city following the pursuit. The pursuit began at Wal Mart on NE Loop 820 (NRH) for theft.

DFR IN ACTION - Armed man arrested

Yesterday, your DFR team assisted with this outstanding patrol work on a call involving a person with a gun off Rufe Snow Dr. The drone team provided excellent aerial coverage for the responding team on the ground, as they took an armed man into custody. This is an extraordinary display of cross-jurisdictional teamwork (thanks, Watauga Police Department!) and officer safety using this aerial oversight. Dispatchers can also view this footage and provide critical updates to responding officers during in-progress calls such as this.

A 27-year-old man from Frisco was taken into custody and charged with Terroristic Threat of Family, and two guns were recovered during the arrest. We are proud of B-Shift’s work here!
