Last night, the Rhode Island State Police held a promotional ceremony to recognize Troopers for their recent promotions. Colonel Weaver noted, "tonight is a celebration of what you have achieved, but it is also a reminder of what lies ahead. Leadership is not defined by rank alone. It is defined by the example you set, the decisions you make, the people you develop, and the respect you earn every day." Congratulations to all!

This week, Troopers across the region will increase patrols and enforcement efforts targeting speeding, aggressive driving, distracted driving, and impaired driving. Dangerous driving doesn't stop at state lines, and neither does our commitment to keeping our roadways safe.

Slow down. Pay attention. Drive sober. Help us keep our roads wicked safe.
