🗳️ ONE HOUR LEFT FOR SATURDAY EARLY VOTING!

Early voting for the September 1 State Primary is underway at Norton Town Hall until 3:00 PM today!

Town Manager Mark Gould and Select Board Member Alec Rich stopped by to thank our Elections staff and volunteers — and, more importantly, to deliver some well-earned sweet treats. 🍋🥤

A big THANK YOU to Town Clerk Melissa McGuinness, our Elections staff, and all of the volunteers giving up part of their Saturday to make early voting possible for Norton residents.

The Town of Norton mourns the passing of Kent Taylor, longtime Norton High School educator and beloved cross country and track and field coach.

For more than two decades, Coach Taylor made an extraordinary impact on generations of Norton students and student-athletes. His legacy of leadership, dedication, and service to our community is reflected not only in the tremendous success of the programs he helped build, but in the countless lives he touched along the way.

In 2023, Norton proudly named the Kent A. Taylor Track in his honor, a lasting tribute to someone whose impact on Norton extends far beyond athletics.

We extend our deepest condolences to Kent’s family, friends, colleagues, students, athletes, and the entire Norton Public Schools community during this difficult time.

Thank you, Coach Taylor, for everything you gave to Norton. Your legacy will live on.

Great news for Norton!

Governor Maura Healey has signed H.5561, legislation authorizing the transfer of state-owned land at the I-495/Route 123 interchange in the Town of Norton.

This marks the culmination of more than a decade of work to unlock one of Norton’s most significant economic development opportunities. The property is strategically located with highway access and existing infrastructure, and its eventual redevelopment has the potential to generate significant recurring tax revenue, attract private investment, create jobs, and strengthen Norton’s commercial tax base.

Thank you to Senator Paul Feeney, State Representative Michael Chaisson Steven Howitt, former Representative Jay Barrows, Governor Healey and the many state, federal and local partners who helped move this effort across the finish line.

With the legislation now signed, the Town will begin working with the Commonwealth on the next steps necessary to transfer the property and move it toward productive use.

A major milestone for Norton and now the work begins.

Acquisition of parcels near I-495/Route 123 interchange could bring town new tax revenue, jobs and private investment
