This is week 3 of the Summer Reading Program and the craft this week will be upcycled pop bottle windchimes! You paint and bead for something fun. Did you know that your crafts can also be entered into the Malheur County Fair? We have the Fair Books at the Library if you want one! Also, note that June 19th (Friday) is Juneteenth and we will be closed for the holiday so please plan accordingly.

Hey, are you reading? Do you sit with your dog or cat on your lap and read? What other animals will sit with you while you read to it? The craft project for June 16-20th are wind chimes! Plus we will be closed on the 19th to honor Juneteenth! But we will be open on Saturday if you want to make a wind chime and get raffle tickets for all the reading you are completing!

SRP Update! There are 44 people who have finished the first level and received their aprons. The boys are in competition with each other and have excitedly put in raffle tickets into their favorite choice of raffle baskets! One young lady has already read 30 hours and is working on her extra reading tracker! And we are only in week 2 of the Summer Reading Program . . . so are you signed up? Are you reading? The Summer Reading Program will continue until August 1st which is the last day to turn in tickets for raffle prizes! In the meantime, who is your favorite reading buddy?
