One of the benefits of being an IMRF member is being able to take part in our Voluntary Additional Contribution (VAC) program. This allows you to automatically set aside a portion of your salary into a savings account managed by IMRF. Your savings grow annually and can be a great source of additional income in your retirement.

You may contribute to VAC up to a limit each year. At retirement, you can take your VAC as a lump sum or as an additional monthly pension.
