Volunteers are needed at our second clean-up/workday this Saturday, 12/06, from 1–3:00 p.m. at Austin Square Park. Join us as we paint a mural on the Sausal Creek retainer wall with Des Moines artist, Jordan J. Weber, learn about local insect life from Kathleen Harris, and help fill a green waste bin generously donated by the Oakland mayor's office with eucalyptus duff and debris.

Austin Square Park is located at Austin Street and East 22nd Street in Fruitvale, Oakland. Tools, refuse/green bags, waivers, and vests provided. Please RSVP to Joshua Fowler at [email protected] .

Many thanks to the 20 volunteers that came out for today's first Austin Square Park cleanup! It was a huge success! We were able to clean up much of the eucalyptus duff and remove a lot of the invasive ivy. See the great before and after photos below.

Join us as we kick off our first clean-up/workday at Austin Square Park at Austin Street and East 22nd Street in Fruitvale, Oakland. Come help us clear brush, remove invasive species, and plant California natives along accessible banks of Sausal Creek on Austin Street and East 22nd Street.
