Supporting & Developing Life-Changing Programs For Children, Teens & Seniors Within Our Communities THE BAYOU MEETS THE BAY CLASSIC FOUNDATION is a nonprofit, 501c3 charity organization that is committed to enhancing the lives of children, youth, and seniors in our communities. The Foundation has identified and developed several methods to generate revenue. Currently, we are marketing and selling the President Obama Commemorative Bottled Water (Limited Edition). We have established a process to receive donated vehicles in exchange for a donor tax write-off. We are developing additional services as well; Discount Travel Services, Living Trusts, Nonprofit Training, Forums on Elder Abuse, and more. Throughout the year the foundation will have fundraising events. Every year we will start with a Mardi Gras Gala with all the ingredients of New Orleans. There will be costumes, beads, and cuisine from the Bayou Country; crawfish etouffee, gumbo boudin, and other goodies. The Bayou Meets the Bay first Crawfish, Zydeco Rhythm & Blues Festival will be in 2017. Our premier event will be the “Classic Football Games” held in the Bay Area featuring teams from the HBCU schools with their school band participating. We are working on identifying and securing sponsors for all events to make the activities extremely entertaining and financially successful. The sponsors that support the various events will secure a substantial marketing and branding opportunity. The more financially sustainable the Foundation is, the more it can contribute to improving the conditions of children and seniors in our communities. The Foundation is also supporting the relief of the seniors that have been affected by the devastating floods in the Baton Rouge area. The water is gone, but the pain and suffering is still there among many seniors in that area. We are accepting contributions to support the flood victims. Please press our “Donate Now” button to make your tax deductible donation. The Bayou Meets The Bay Classic Foundation is an inclusive organization and gives to youth and seniors in local and global communities.
