Oakland Unite (OU), a program of the Human Services Department (HSD) at the City of Oakland, is on the search for its next cohort of Youth Squad Leaders and we need your help getting the word out to the talented young people in your network! Youth Squad Leaders take part in OU’s effort to change community norms around violence by taking back community spaces.
We expect to hire ten-twelve young leaders (16-24) per site to help run Friday Summer Nights/Peace in the Park programming in two sites: 1) Hoover Elementary in West Oakland and 2) Arroyo Park area in East Oakland.
