Ride BART to OAK!
At BART, there’s a newly minted movie star among us. Larry Fuller, a Workforce Development Specialist, stars in a new film that premiered this winter: “Izzy Lyon: The Unspun Truth.” Fuller plays the titular character in the movie – his first speaking role in a feature film.
“Izzy Lyon” is a mockumentary about a famed sign spinner, played by Fuller, who’s disappeared from the public eye. It’s a role Fuller was born to play, as he’s been sign spinning since he was 15 years old.
“It was amazing seeing how they all worked together and all the little things they did to make the shot work,” Fuller said of working on the film. “It was demystifying and also magical to be a part of it.”
Fuller said spinning and acting have helped him in his BART career because he’s worked “with different kinds of people from all over the world and from different walks of life.”
“It makes it easy and enjoyable for me to learn and connect with others,” he said.
