This novel felt timely to me when I first tried to publish it in 2016. However, I failed to do so, and over the next years I was too dispirited to do anything but activism. Now, a decade later, I’m uncertain how novel the feminist take is, but at the least it’s an interesting retelling of Arthurian legend that cleaves truer to historical accuracy of the Dark Ages, while also having a heady dose of dark fantasy.
