Former Mills College Spanish Club La Vida, aka Spanish & Spanish-American Studies Club, is a place for students to gather to practice conversation in Spanish, to get homework & essay help, & to celebrate & deepen our understanding of the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.

Dear Students,

Do you need to improve your Spanish conversational skills? How about your Spanish writing skills? If so, Spanish 101 "Conversation and Compositions" has space available.

In this course will review grammar and speaking in Spanish. It is also a class where we will put our grammar skills on the page and explore different types of writing from a personal letter to a descriptive essay to a narrative essay and finally academic essays.

Does literary translation interest you? If so, you will be happy to hear that we will dedicate some time to literary tranlsation.

The class meets on Mon & Wed @ 2:30-3:45 in Mills Hall 318. We have our first meeting, but no worries, if you would liike to join the class, contact Dra. Borges so we can discuss making it iup.

Due to a schedule conflict, next Mon & Wed's classes have been re-schedule for today, Friday @ 12-12:55 in Mills Hall 132 and next Fri at the same time and place. Once again, there are no worries if you can't make it, please contact Dra. Borges at [email protected] in order to diiscuss the course.

Welcome to a new school year. I hope everyone is enjoying our sunny weather! I will soon be posting the event details for Latina Heritage Month.


Looking at meeting time options in relation so Spanish classes this semester. It looks like we are limited because there are 8 class and 6 time slots to compete with. Here's my proposal: Thursdays at 3:30-4:30 ish (give or take 15 minutes). What are your thoughts?
