🚨🚧 Sealcoating Humrick Rd (CH 26), 8/11/26🚧🚨

Sealcoating operations will be taking place on Humrick Rd from east of Georgetown, past Humrick, toward the IN state line. Please avoid the area while work is underway. An update will be posted once the work has been completed.

ROAD CLOSURE
Royal Road (2250N)

The Vermilion County Highway Department announces the replacement of a bridge on the Royal Road (2250N), 1.25 miles west of Illinois Route 49. Work will begin on or around July 20, 2026 and will require closure of the road. Drivers should seek alternate routes. The Royal Road is expected to be closed for approximately six weeks depending on the weather.

Drivers are urged to use caution in work zones, obey posted speed limits and signs, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.

‼️PERRYSVILLE ROAD IS NOW OPEN 7/10/2026 2:00 PM‼️

🚧ROAD CLOSURE PERRYSVILLE ROAD🚧

Perrysville Road will be closed at the Stony Creek bridge on Thursday, July 9 and Friday, July 10 from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM each day. The closure is required to remove a log jam caused by recent flooding. Drivers should seek alternate routes.

Drivers are urged to use caution in work zones, obey posted speed limits and signs, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.

Sealcoating operations will be taking place on Batestown Rd Tuesday, July 6, 2026. Please seek alternate routes to avoid the area. An update will be posted when the work is complete.

🚧BATESTOWN ROAD IS NOW OPEN🚧

⚠️Thursday, July 2nd 2026⚠️

Weather permitting, Batestown Road will be closed near the Possum Trot on Thursday, July 2, 2026 to perform an emergency patch. Local traffic needing access west of the patch will need to use Batestown Road at the Fairgrounds Road.

Drivers are urged to use caution in work zones, obey posted speed limits and signs, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.

Sealcoating operations will be taking place on Kickapoo Rd from Henning Rd to the park entrance. Please avoid the area. An update will be posted when the work is complete.

UPDATE: The road is now open to traffic!!

🚧 NOTICE North of Henning 🚧

3100 N (the first road north of Henning) to County Highway 14 (Rossville Slab) will be closed to through traffic on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, for sealcoating.

The road is expected to reopen later in the afternoon. We will update this post once the road is open.

Please plan ahead and use an alternate route. Thank you for your patience!

UPDATE: The road is now open to traffic!!

🚧 Road Closure Notice – Alvin 🚧

Please be advised that the road in Alvin is currently closed between Chicago Street and Gilbert Street on the south end and 1800 East Road and 3100 North Road on the north end.

The closure is expected to remain in effect through tomorrow.

Please use alternate routes and allow extra travel time. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
