🎉 Congratulations, Marion County Public Schools! 🎉

As students, teachers, and staff wrap up their last week of school, we want to send a huge congratulations on another successful year! Your hard work, dedication, and resilience shine through every day, and our community is better because of you.

Last week, we had the pleasure of joining Ocala Springs Elementary and East Marion Elementary for their Career Days. Wow, what an amazing time!

The students had an absolute blast with our Van de Graaff generator, learning about electricity in the most hair-raising way possible. Our T&D Linemen also gave hands-on demonstrations about the vital work they do year-round to keep Ocala powered.

Of course, we can’t forget Mr. Hank, who had everyone laughing as he showed off just how long an extended hot stick really is—especially during a storm!

Thank you to the schools for welcoming us, and thank you to all Marion County Public Schools teachers and staff for another incredible year of shaping young minds. Enjoy your well‑deserved summer break! 🌞📚⚡

We kicked off our Monday morning with the wonderful first-grade classes at Wyomina Park Elementary School!

“Mr. Kami” and “Mr. Clay” spent time teaching the students all about electrical safety, the importance of PPE gear and even demonstrated how we restore power when it goes out.

The kids were energetic, curious and a lot of fun to work with. We’re grateful for the opportunity to help educate our next generation and inspire an early understanding of safety and community service.

A big thank‑you to Wyomina Park Elementary for having us. We had a great time!

OEU is closely monitoring the incoming weather system. At this time, we are not experiencing any issues; however, we remain fully prepared should the storm cause any outages or damage.

Our teams will continue to assess conditions throughout the event, and once it is safe for crews to be in the field, they will be ready to respond quickly and make necessary repairs. Our priority is always to provide safe and reliable energy for our customers.

In the meantime, we encourage everyone to stay safe and ensure that your homes and businesses are secured. Please take a moment to bring inside or tie down any items that could be blown by strong winds.

We appreciate your cooperation and will keep you informed as conditions evolve.

What an incredible day at Earth Fest at Tuscawilla Park! 🌎🌳 Thanks to Ocala Recreation and Parks for another great event!

OEU was proud to be part of such a vibrant event, surrounded by amazing vendors and a park full of community members coming together to celebrate and support Earth Day and Arbor Day. It was truly inspiring to see so many people out enjoying the day and showing their commitment to our environment.

We’re excited to share that we gave away 150 trees today, and another 150 earlier this week on Wednesday! 🌱 Giving back to our customers in this way is just one small step toward a greener future, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to help make a difference.

A special thank you to Tower Hill Nursery for their partnership and support in making this possible. Together, we were able to not only provide trees, but also educate our community on how to properly plant and care for them. These efforts play an important role in our vegetation management practices and help protect our utility lines while enhancing our local environment.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made today so special. We are grateful to serve such an engaged and environmentally conscious community!
