Any Municipal Court cancellation applies ONLY to individuals summoned for Municipal Court jury duty.

Jurors summoned by the Ector County District Clerk’s Office will receive official notifications from our office regarding their jury service by text, email, and through the Jury Service page on the Ector County District Clerk website at www.ectorcountytx.gov/247/Jury

***JURY DUTY PHONE SCAM ***

Several Texas counties have received reports of scammers making phone calls to their residents. The scammers make these phone calls appear as if coming from county officials. The scammers tell residents they missed their jury duty will be arrested if they do not pay fines for failing to appear.

Please be advised that the Ector County officials will NEVER call you, text you or email you and ask for social security numbers, credit cards or other sensitive information. We will NEVER demand payment over the phone of a fine for failure to appear for jury service, including the placing of any amount of money on a card to pay any fine.

If you have doubts about a caller, please HANG UP and call the District Clerk's Office for answers to your jury service questions.
