We delivered 12 more sleeping mats to the Canteen Run! Thank you Pastor Sally for providing a sweet blessing on Sunday. Also a big thank you to Nancy Chisholm and Betty Lewis for all of your hard work!

The Canteen Run definitely wanted them! The gentleman taking them I said those in need love them.

Sunday, 0ctober 5th at the United Methodist Church in St. Joseph, Illinois, we will be having a dedication of 12 more sleeping mats! Pastor Sally Swaim will be doing the service. Sally is one of our wonderful weavers. This group of beautiful mats will be donated to the homeless in the CU areas and distributed by the Canteen Run.

We had a dedication and blessing of our first dozen of sleeping mats at the United Methodist Church in St. Joseph, Illinois, today! The sleeping mats, with their carrying bags will be delivered to the Canteen Run at 11:00 am, this coming Wednesday! We will be delivering 12 sets!

This coming Sunday, January 12th, we are having a dedication and blessing ceremony so we can start handing out these creations! The first set of 10 will be donated to the Canteen Run, that is housed at the Salvation Army in Champaign. The Canteen Run delivers food, clothing and personal hygiene products to those leaving on the streets.

The song by Dolly Parton, “The Coat of Many Colors” inspired my project name, as the song states, her coat was made from rags her mother made for her, she felt as rich as she could be.
