Why N**i Germany Had To Start World War II In 1939?

N**i Germany’s decision to invade Poland in September 1939 was driven by Adolf Hi**er’s expansionist ideology, his desire to overturn the post–World War I settlement, and his belief that Germany needed more territory and resources. Hi**er wanted to create a vast German-dominated empire in Eastern Europe and viewed Poland as a major obstacle to that ambition. After Germany had already annexed Austria and occupied Czechoslovakia, Hi**er demanded territory from Poland, including the return of Danzig and access across the Polish Corridor. When Poland refused, Germany prepared for war. Hi**er also believed that Britain and France might avoid a major conflict, as they had previously accepted German expansion through appeasement. His calculations proved disastrously wrong. On September 1, 1939, German forces invaded Poland, and Britain and France declared war on Germany two days later. World War II had begun in Europe.

Krasny Bor: The Brutal Battle Of The Spanish Blue Division On The Russian Front | 1943

The Battle of Krasny Bor was one of the bloodiest and most desperate engagements fought by the Spanish Blue Division on the Eastern Front during World War II. On February 10, 1943, a massive Soviet force launched an assault near Leningrad, attacking Spanish positions with overwhelming artillery, infantry, and armored support. Around 4,900 Spanish troops of the 250th Division faced a Soviet force many times larger, backed by hundreds of guns and dozens of tanks. The opening bombardment shattered defensive positions, and Soviet troops broke through in several sectors, pushing toward Krasny Bor. Yet isolated Spanish units continued resisting under intense pressure, while German reinforcements helped stabilize the front. After several days of brutal fighting, the Soviet offensive lost momentum and failed to achieve its larger objective of encircling the German 18th Army. The Spanish suffered thousands of casualties, while Soviet losses were also extremely heavy. Krasny Bor became the defining battle of the Blue Division's service on the Eastern Front and remains one of the most dramatic episodes of the Siege of Leningrad.
