On this 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we pause to honor the 2,977 men, women, and children who were taken from us that day—and the first responders who ran toward danger to save others.

For their families, 9/11 has never been just one day. They have lived it every day since.

It is our duty as Americans to never forget what hate did that morning, and never forget the unity that rose from the ashes.

We remember. We honor. We stand together.

I’m proud to stand with Hulbert Public Schools in the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights competition. They’re going for a $1 million football field makeover, and it would mean the world to this small rural Oklahoma community.

Like a lot of our schools, Hulbert works hard every day to stretch every dollar for good classrooms, safe buildings, and the activities that keep kids engaged. Big facility upgrades just aren’t in the budget without help. A new field would give the athletes something to be proud of and create a place where the whole community can come together for years to come.

If you want to help, post on Instagram or X with and , and tag and . Every post counts.

Thank you, T-Mobile, for giving rural schools like Hulbert a real shot. Good luck, Hulbert—let’s bring this one home!

We are on our way!! Help us get a new football field!

I'm often asked what happens at the Capitol after the regular legislative session ends and one of the most important things we do is conduct interim studies.

Interim studies give us the time and space to dig deeper into complex issues that affect our state. Outside the pressure of a fast-paced legislative session, we can bring in experts, hear from everyday Oklahomans, gather data, and thoroughly examine problems so we’re better prepared to craft solid legislation for the next session.

These studies are assigned to Senate committees, are open to the public, and are livestreamed so anyone can follow along.

You can find the full list of approved Senate interim studies, including topics, requesting senators, and committee assignments, on the Oklahoma Senate website.

I encourage you to take a look, follow the studies that matter most to you and your family, and stay engaged. Your input helps shape better policy for Oklahoma.

Although these requests for interim studies have been assigned to the following committees, it is at the discretion of each respective chair whether to schedule a study for presentation.

🚨ATTENTION VOTERS!🚨

Early voting starts TODAY for the August 25 runoff. Locations will be open Thursday, August 20 and Friday, August 21 (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Saturday, August 22 (8 a.m. to 2 p.m.)

STATE QUESTIONS

While the August 25 Election includes party runoff primaries for Democrats and Republicans, all registered voters in Oklahoma are eligible to vote on State Question 844 and State Question 846. All voters – including Libertarians and Independents – may also vote in any nonpartisan elections on the ballot and on local propositions. You do not need to participate in a party’s primary election in order to vote on the state questions or participate in nonpartisan elections or local elections.

CLOSED PRIMARIES

Reminder: Oklahoma has closed primaries. For 2026, in order to participate in a party’s primary election or runoff primary election, you must be a registered voter of that party. More information about primary elections is available on the State Election Board website.

ELECTION INFORMATION

A list of early voting locations is available on the State Election Board website, along with the list of elections. (You must vote in the county where you are registered to vote.) Sample ballots can be viewed and downloaded by logging into the OK Voter Portal.

If you have questions, contact your County Election Board or the State Election Board at (405) 521-2391 or [email protected] for more information.

Established under the Constitution of the State of Oklahoma in 1907, the Oklahoma State Election Board is the administrative agency for the conduct of state elections and the oversight of the state's 77 county election boards.

As a legislative member of the Oklahoma Sexual Assault Forensic Evidence (SAFE) Board, I have learned of a serious issue: the backlog of sexual assault kits waiting to be tested.

To tackle this issue, I am coordinating an interim study in collaboration with Representatives Roe and Provenzano, Senators Burns and Hicks, and other members of the SAFE Board.

The study will take place on October 22nd from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM and will be available for you to stream online through the Oklahoma Senate website.

If this is a topic that matters to you, please reach out to my office at [email protected] and let me know. Your input is valuable as we work to understand and draft meaningful legislation that addresses this problem efficiently and effectively—so that justice is not delayed for survivors.

Thank you for your continued support and faith in me to serve you.

There are a lot of development discussions happening in my district right now—from data centers to solar farms to the aluminum smelter—and I want to be part of those conversations. I’ve done my best to attend every pertinent meeting I can, but I don’t want to miss a single opportunity to represent you.

If you know of an upcoming public meeting—citizen-led, city council, county commissioner, etc.—that you’d like me to attend, please reach out. Send the date, time, location, and topic of discussion to my office at [email protected]. I will do my best to attend as many as I can.

I’m here to listen and to stand with you on the issues that matter most in our communities.
