A pre-bid meeting was held today in order to obtain bids for resurfacing 2.25 miles of Honey Creek Rd as a Lake Access Grant that was applied for in January 2025 and was approved on June 2, 2025. We anticipate having this completed this summer.

We are out and about thru the District with brushhogs and the A-Boom mower to clean the trees, brush, and tall grass back off of the roadways. It is a slow process with a lot of miles to cover. Please remember to give a wide space when going around these pieces of equipment.

District 2 was able to mark a big project off of their To-Do List yesterday. Road Foreman Tommy Wahnee and crew removed and replaced this large tinhorn yesterday. Projects like this are incredibly important so that any necessary emergency vehicles will always be able to safely arrive if ever needed.

I want to thank everyone in my district for their patience. We are working as fast as we can between rains to get all the roads graded and smoothed out, and to fix the big tinhorn on Banyan off of Wilson. I know sometimes it seems as if we have forgotten your road, but i promise that we haven’t. Steve

…..And then it rained. District 2 is having to adjust our work schedule due to the rain. When the roads are as saturated as they are right now it does more harm than good to have heavy pieces of equipment out on them. Commissioner Ward and Foreman Tommy Wahnee will be out with crews today assessing our roadways. If you notice a problem today please call our office at 918-756-1531 so that a work order can be made and the situation corrected. Thank you.

⚠️Good morning! District 2 has the pot patcher out repairing holes on Sharp Rd at the big tinhorn that was installed last year. That road is still reshaping and shifting so we repair it as needed until it has completely settled. ⚠️
