Heart of America Fly Fishers Club Meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at the Community of Christ church, 79th & Mission Rd, Prairie Village, KS.

Social hour begins at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting begins at 7:00 p.m.

Thank you to Captain Joe Folsom for the instructions on some first aid situations. We learned a lot about how Johnson County MedAct works in our community as well as some things to look for in certain situations. Basic knowledge on how an AED works and steps to take during other accidents or life events.

Monday August 17th

CPR/First Aid Overview

Our planned program for August is to have Captain Joe Folsom, the Training Officer for Johnson County's Department of Emergency Services present some basic first aid and hands-only CPR training. This will be beneficial for every-day living as well as fly fishing. There is a chance that Captain Folsom will have to reschedule this date, but we have a couple of other things planned as a backup. In any event, plan to join us for an evening of being with fellow fly fishers.

The meeting is August 17, at the Mission Road Community of Christ Church at 79th and Mission Road in Prairie Village, KS. Come at 6:30 to socialize and catch up with other members. The program will begin after some announcements at 7:00 p.m. Bring a fly to donate to the monthly fly give-away, or kick in $1 for a chance take home all flies donated.
