Heads Up – Slurry Seal Work on Beverly Ave, Pacific Ave, and Ardmore Ave

Slurry seal work is scheduled for Thursday, March 12, 2026, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Depending on schedule, may continue into Friday March 13, 2026
• No Parking: “NO PARKING” signs will be posted 72 hours in advance. Vehicles left on the street during the workday may be towed at the owner’s expense.
• Plan ahead: If you plan to use your car during construction hours, please park on a nearby street without restrictions and allow extra travel time.
• Road access: Do not drive on the street until the slurry seal has fully set. All closures will be lifted once the surface is ready for travel.
Olivehurst Public Utility District has contracted with RCI for this project. Residents will receive official notices from the contractor. Yuba County is sharing this information for awareness. Dates may change due to weather or equipment issues.

The Olivehurst Public Utility District has a warning siren that it will be testing on January 6, 2026, at noon that will last between 1 to 3 minutes. The purpose of this siren is to be used in the event of a natural disaster to indicate an evacuation warning and will be used in cooperation and conjunction with other emergency agencies in the area. This warning siren is used to augment other means of warnings to include NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio, law enforcement text notification network, social media, Yuba County Code Red, other broadcast media. Testing will typically take place once per quarter of the year on the first Tuesday in the months of March, June, September, and December at 12:00 p.m. (noon). However, December 2025 will not have a test as the testing will be in January 2026.

OPUD staff will be doing system repairs on Fleming in Olivehurst from 7th Avenue to 8th Avenue including all of Chapman. This is part of an ongoing project to upgrade the water mains. These repairs will happen on Wednesday, October 8 from 8 am till 4 pm. During that time there will be an interruption in your water service. This interruption should only affect the streets listed above. If you did not receive a blue door hanger informing you of this interruption in service and your service is interrupted on the above mentioned day, please contact the OPUD Business Office at (530) 743-4657.

This interruption should only affect a small section of Ardmore (4689 thru 4746).
