04/24/2026
On behalf of Red Sky Nation, we are asking for your support at our upcoming fundraiser on April 24, 2026, from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM at Healing Ribbons (5017 Leavenworth St, Omaha, NE). All proceeds will directly support the 5th Annual MMIR Crisis Response and Powwow, which uplifts families impacted by the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives epidemic.
The MMIR crisis continues to devastate Indigenous communities nationwide. According to national reports, Indigenous women face murder rates up to 10 times the national average, and in some regions, over 80% of Indigenous women experience violence in their lifetime. Many cases go unreported, uninvestigated, or receive delayed response—leaving families to shoulder the burden of searching for their loved ones alone.
A major driver behind these statistics is inadequate and unstable housing. When our relatives lack safe, consistent housing, they are more vulnerable to trafficking, exploitation, and violence. Housing instability increases isolation, reduces access to support systems, and creates the exact conditions predators exploit. Strengthening our crisis response means addressing these root causes while standing with families in real time.
Your support at this fundraiser helps us continue providing crisis response, family advocacy, community searches, and culturally grounded healing for those impacted by MMIR in our region.
In Solidarity,
