For 30 years Nebraska Friends of Foster Children as an all-volunteer organization has provided life-enriching activities for Nebraska children in foster care. It is with heavy hearts that our board made the difficult decision to cease operations due to funding sustainability challenges.

To all of our supporters and board members over the years, we thank you. It was through your support that thousands of kids in foster care were given opportunities to engage in positive childhood experiences.

For 30 years Nebraska Friends of Foster Children as an all-volunteer organization has provided opportunities for positive life-enriching experiences. Due to recent unanticipated circumstances, our organization is experiencing a tighter financial situation
than in previous years. NFFC will continue to fund grant requests but in a more limited manner.
As foster parents you understand the importance of normal childhood experiences for children whose lives have not been normal. NFFC remains committed to assisting with making those experiences happen.
We appreciate your understanding as we struggle through this challenging time. 💕

Dear Family and Friends,

As we collectively slowly emerge from the pandemic, there is hope that life will return to normal. For children in the foster care system, so much of life is not normal even outside of a pandemic. Engaging in life-enriching, positive childhood experiences with their peers helps to bring some relief from the trauma and abuse the children experienced.

The mission of Nebraska Friends of Foster Children (NFFC) is to provide opportunities for kids in foster care to engage in normal childhood activities such as sports, music and dance lessons and camps that lead to development of skills, learning discipline and building confidence. As we’re emerging from the time of limited activities, it’s important for children to resume the activities that provide positive experiences. NFFC with your help will be there to support them.

Dear Friends and Supporters,

2020 has been a difficult year. Nothing in our lives was untouched by the virus. Work environments changed, school became remote learning, and our usual activities were halted or became virtual. It required us to collectively navigate a new world. It seems like there isn’t much joy. Now imagine the added challenge of being uprooted from your family home because of abuse or neglect during an already difficult situation brought on by the pandemic.

In this year where it seems joy is a rare commodity, Nebraska Friends of Foster Children has provided grants for children in foster care for normal childhood activities such as virtual music lessons, online dance classes, athletics, and bikes. Small joys during a challenging and scary time.

Tuesday, December 1st is Giving Tuesday. Be a part of this community effort to harness the Power of All through generosity and kindness and consider a donation to Nebraska Friends of Foster Children, using the link below on Tuesday, December 1st or earlier.
