Unfortunately Spring cleaning has a new meaning in 2020. OPD Officers are now devoting more time to disinfecting their entire workspace during their shifts. Officers are making sure to disinfect their squads and sanitize after every contact.

Officers are practicing social distancing so do not have your feelings hurt if Officers do not get close to you. If Officers do get close to you...please comply. These are uncharted times for all of us.

Stay Safe. Wash your hands.

Yesterday’s Community Blanket Making Event was a success! We have been doing this event for 8 years now and the amount of support and help we get year after year is truly amazing.
We would like to thank the Green Bay Police Department, Ashwaubenon Public Safety, Hobart Lawrence Police Department, Brown County Sheriff's Department, Hortonville Police Department for teaming up with us again this year. We would also like to thank NWTC-Criminal Justice Students, the Oneida Business Committee, Anna John Nursing Home’s staff and residents, Oneida Boys and Girls High School, the Mary Kay Consultants, and to all of our community members for coming together and making this event possible. The blankets we made will once again be going to community elders as well as to programs that assist families in need.
A special thank you goes out to Don’s Quality Market in Seymour for all of the delicious baked goods they provided.

Congratulations Brian!

Green Bay Police Department Sgt. Brian Jordan is the latest recipient of the Rotary Club of Green Bay’s Community Service Award. Sgt. Jordan began his career as a member of the Oneida Police Department in 1995 and has been a member of the Green Bay Police Department for nearly 20 years, focusing on field and firearms training. He is certified in more than a dozen law enforcement training disciplines.

“The improvements that Brian Jordan has brought to the Green Bay Police Department in numerous areas of department training exemplifies his dedication to using his acquired skills and education for the betterment of the department and community he serves,” Green Bay PD Capt. John Balza stated in his nomination.

“His ability to instruct, coach, and mentor officers of all levels of experience and capability is an extremely rare combination for an instructor in any field. The training that he so diligently applies are the core tactics and skills that keep the officers of the Green Bay Police Department safe and in turn also provide safety for the people in our community,” Capt. Balza adds.

The Community Service Award is an opportunity for the Rotary Club of Green Bay to recognize community servants exhibiting behaviors that reinforce the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self". The award is presented quarterly to members of the Green Bay Police Department and recognized at the club's weekly meeting. A donation from the Rotary Club of Green Bay on behalf of the recipient is made to the Green Bay Police Foundation and recipients are invited to share in fellowship with club and community members at the annual Rotary Free Enterprise Award dinner.

Thank you Brian for your dedication to our community!
