The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30, and now is the time to get prepared. While forecasts suggest a less active season, it only takes one storm to impact our community.

Get ready for an unforgettable summer with the City of Opa-locka Parks & Recreation Summer Camp! 🌴🏀📚 Registration is now open for children ages 5–12, offering a summer full of learning, fun, friendship, and adventure from June 8 – August 7, 2026. Campers will enjoy arts & crafts 🎨, STEM activities 🔬, sports & recreation 🏀, reading and math enrichment 📖, indoor & outdoor games 🎯, team-building activities 🤝, and exciting field trips 🚌☀️.

Camp runs Monday–Friday from 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM and includes breakfast, lunch, a free T-shirt, and water bottle! 💧👕 Registration fee $25. Weekly fee $30 for Opa-locka residents and $35 for non-residents.

☀️🎉 ¡Prepárate para un verano inolvidable con el Campamento de Verano de Parks & Recreation de la Ciudad de Opa-locka! 🌴🏀📚 Las inscripciones ya están abiertas para niños de 5 a 12 años, ofreciendo un verano lleno de aprendizaje, diversión, amistades y aventuras desde el 8 de junio hasta el 7 de agosto de 2026. Los participantes disfrutarán de artes y manualidades 🎨, actividades STEM 🔬, deportes y recreación 🏀, enriquecimiento en lectura y matemáticas 📖, juegos interiores y al aire libre 🎯, actividades de trabajo en equipo 🤝 y emocionantes excursiones 🚌☀️.

El campamento se realizará de lunes a viernes de 8:30 AM a 5:30 PM e incluye desayuno, almuerzo, una camiseta gratis y una botella de agua. 💧👕 La inscripción tiene un costo de $25. La tarifa semanal es de $30 para residentes de Opa-locka y $35 para no residentes.
