The Village election will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2010. Voting will take place in the Municipal Center, 4295 S. Buffalo Street, Orchard Park.
Based on conditions across central Erie County, I have declared a State of Emergency for Erie County and a travel ban effective at 1 pm for the following towns: Elma, Orchard Park, Hamburg, Eden, Brant, North Collins and Evans. All travel is prohibited. All cars must leave roads.

Due to the extreme cold predicted for New Year's Eve (-4 degrees (F)), the annual Ceremonial Ball Drop in the Village of Orchard Park has been cancelled. This was a very difficult decision, but was made to ensure the safety of attending families.
Our annual Holiday in the Park event is Saturday December 2nd from noon until 3pm.

Annual Holiday in the Park Event!
Saturday, December 3rd from noon until 3:00pm. Located back at the Historic Train Depot, Orchard Park Public Library and DPW Grounds.
Many family activities taking place including: a parade through the Village of Orchard Park, Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Train Depot, Activities in the Orchard Pk Public Library, more activities at the DPW Garage and Grounds, and pleny of food and beverages at the DPW Garage.

North Buffalo Street will be closed between Quaker Street (20-A) and Princeton Place for the ceremonial ball drop at midnight!
This Saturday, December 5th from noon until 4:00 p.m.
Parade starts at noon at the Orchard Park Library and the event runs noon to 4:00pm at the NEW LOCATION at 4244 North Buffalo Street (former Orchard Park Bowling Lanes).

Today kicks off the Village of OP's 20th Annual Summer in the Park celebration! Tonight's Ice Cream Social runs from 7pm to 9pm at the Historic Train Depot. Lots of flavors and the largest $2 bowl of ice cream you'll ever see! Fireworks will follow at dusk.
The OP Recreation Department will provide games and activities for the kids.
The weather will be perfect, so there's no excuse not to come.

Village Elections are today, March 18th from noon until 9:00 p.m at the Orchard Park Municipal Building at 4295 South Buffalo Street in Orchard Park. Four positions are on the ballot: One position for a 2-year term for Village Mayor, two positions for a 4-year term for Trustee and one position for a 4-year term for Justice. You must be a registered voter within the village to be eligible to vote.
Village, Town Announce 2nd annual “State of Orchard Park” Address
On Wednesday February 18th , Village Mayor David Rood and Town Supervisor Patrick Keem will jointly deliver a “State of Orchard Park” Address to the assembled members of the Town and Village Boards, municipal department heads and interested members of the public.
In doing this, Orchard Park government will be taking a unique step in promoting transparency and accountability of government as well as enhancing communication between local government and the community it serves.
The address will offer an assessment of current services and programs, achievements and ongoing challenges, and it will present priorities, ideas and goals for the coming year as part of a broader vision for the long term future of Orchard Park.
The Board Room has been reserved for 6:30 pm on the 18th. Everyone interested is invited to attend.

The Driving Ban and State of Emergency will remain in effect for the Town and Village of Orchard Park through Friday indefinitely. The Municipal Building will be closed on Friday as well.
Garbage pickup in the Village will be postponed until the next pickup on Saturday, November 29th (delayed because of Thanksgiving).
