Last of the garlic scapes harvested… take raw cashews, cut up stems, toss into your ninja, slowly add evoo till creamy. Three ingredients… wonderful garlic pesto. Very mild. Rich and creamy! Sauté the garlic scape tops to accompany your ‘favorite fish’ dinner just absolutely wonderful

Two more days and these beautiful creatures go to their new homes. Moms and kids, minus Tarragon. She will go to conservation breeders with Thor, Don Patron, Saint Patrick - the last two to leave will be Dancer and Dasher - they will each be paired with Three Core Herd does.

Gratitude… when one plant is destroyed by the goats… God sends another to bring me joy!! I do wonder when the pond will be cleaned?? After goats… my life seems to consist of BG (before goats) and the dream of AG (after goats) — all who know me realize that this is the most heartbreaking thing I have done, parting with these exquisite creatures!

Just Capital F.. aargh… so tired. Was taking off garden boot and of course it went flying into the succulent tray I just planted a couple days ago… needless to say… I will replant immediately - done.. Noted that the pot I used is too deep for this plant. It’s now safe from being knocked over again by my boot. Lol

Gorongosa lost 95% of its wildlife during the war that ended in 1992. Excellent documentary on reestablishing herds all but wiped out! I really feel for all involved working on restoration

Some do not understand what has been the purpose of the amount of my life and funding I have devoted to these rare and critically endangered goats.
There are only two Northern White Rhinoceros remaining in the world.
Even after 40 years of conservation efforts there are very few of the pure San Clemente Island goat left in the world. I pray those that I am placing my herd with are Blessed with health and help as they carry on the mission I have devoted over a decade to. I can no longer do this on my own and have made the difficult choice to place them with preservationists to carry on.
