Florida Urban Search & Rescue Task Force 4 swift water team comprised of 7 members from Seminole County Fire Department, Orange County Fire Rescue Department, Florida and The Orlando Fire Department arrived in San Antonio, TX and received orders to report to Tilden, TX. The team is teamed up with an all hazards group, which includes a fire suppression strike team, an EMS strike team, a high water component from the Texas National Guard, and two Type-3 swift water rescue teams. Florida US&R Task Force 4 has conducted training operations with the Texas National Guard to ensure interoperability for potential water rescues. As of this morning, July 19, the water has began to rise, and it is anticipated to hit major flood stage within the next 24 hours. The team remains ready to respond to any needs.

In response to the historic flooding event in Central Texas, FL-TF4 has deployed a Type 3 swiftwater team to assist with operations. The team is expected to arrive tomorrow morning. The residents of Central Texas are in our prayers.
