Since 1961 the Maine 4-H Foundation (formerly the Pine Tree State 4-H Foundation) has played an active role in supporting and strengthening the programs available to the youth and adults of Maine through 4-H and other youth development education. Foundation funds:
Help Maine 4-H’ers participate in national 4-H trips such as Citizenship Washington Focus, National 4-H Conference, and Congress;
Ai
d UMaine Extension staff as they attempt to expand and strengthen the Maine 4-H program in science, agriculture, leadership, service learning, STEM, and the arts. Provide grants and scholarships to clubs and individual Maine 4-H members as they better themselves and their communities through “hands on experiential learning.”
The work of the Foundation would not be possible without its many volunteers, sponsors, and donors. You help give 4-H members the gift of quality education and higher aspirations. Thank you for your support. The Maine 4-H Foundations supports our five 4-H Learning Centers across Maine. They include the UMaine 4-H Camp and Learning Centers at Blueberry Cove, Bryant Pond, Greenland Point, and Tanglewood and the Lafayette and Rawcliffe 4-H Science and Engineering Learning Center on the Orono campus of the University of Maine.
