Stopped at gardens at fairgrounds Tonight. Lots of lettuce, nasturtiums, parsley to pick. Quite a few red beets & green onions. Carrots are close to ready and there will be tomatoes. Check it out.

The Putnam County Soil & Water Office is once again looking for Master Gardeners to volunteer to help them pack trees for all the first grade classrooms in the county (about 530 trees). The date for the tree packing is Tuesday, April 9 at 8:30AM at the Soil and Water office which is located in the same building as the Extension Office. Lunch will be provided that day. You will be working in the warehouse so please dress warm.

Pollinator Short Course and Ohio Pollinator Advocate Training

Join fellow bee and pollinator enthusiasts for this daylong training focusing on pollination, bee biology, native bee identification, and habitat enhancement -- with a focus on bumble bees. Participants will learn to identify common bees using pinned samples and microscopes, and will leave with practical ideas to increase pollinator habitat. Program sponsored by The Ohio State University Bee Lab. Ohio Pollinator Advocates are trained volunteers who help to spread the word about the importance of pollinators.
