Wow! I didn’t think I would say this…. But fire danger is low!

You still need a permit to burn but the danger is low and fires will not start easily or quickly.

Severe Storms are expected to develop in central North Dakota Tuesday mid afternoon and then expand in coverage as they move east toward the Red River valley in the evening and overnight. All hazards are possible especially in the level 3 region where a tornado is possible. Rest of the area the main threat will transition to strong damaging winds.

Huge thank you to Scott and Customized Fire and Rescue Training for coming out this week and helping us improve our skills. This week our members learned elevator training. Thank you to Thumper Pond Resort in Ottertail MN for letting us use your elevators and letting our members explore the property!

Keep an eye on the weather this week! Very unpredictable forecast!

Level 2 out of 5 severe risk for the southern and central Red River Valley tomorrow. Level 1 out of 5 elsewhere. Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected Wednesday into Wednesday night. Scattered severe storms are possible in the afternoon and evening with focus being SE ND & WC MN. Primary threats re large hail and wind threat.
