Miami University NROTC is starting the year strong with another successful New Student Orientation (NSO).
This week-long training experience saw new Miami University 4/C MIDN participate in Navy and Marine Corps activities like swim qualifications, a 1.5-mile hike, a 3-mile run, and drill formations. Additionally, new MIDN were able to learn about the campus, career paths, and other facets of MUNROTC that are necessary to become an officer in the Navy/Marine Corps.
All this was made possible by a combination of a dedicated staff of returning midshipmen guided by MUNROTC's seasoned professional staff to ensure a safe and informative experience over the course of the week. Thanks also need to be given to the staff of Miami University's many facilities, from the lifeguards at the pool to the chefs at the dining hall. Special thanks to Chris Young of Vibe Beauty Collective for helping assist with haircuts for incoming freshmen.
Congratulations to the new 4/C midshipmen, go Navy and Marine Corps, and go Redhawks!
