Heavy metals have no place in America’s food.

USDA, HHS, and EPA have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen their efforts to reduce heavy metals and other contaminants in the food supply.

The agreement improves testing, expands monitoring into processed foods, and strengthens coordination across the three agencies.

It’s another MAHA initiative focused on giving American families safer food and greater confidence in what’s on their plates.

Today, NRCS announced $35 million for the Feral Swine Eradication and Control Project, part of a $105 million total investment from USDA. Feral swine cause more than $3.4 billion in damage each year, harming agriculture, natural resources, and human and animal health. We love our children! Please slow down....

🚍 School is Back in Session Tomorrow! 📚
As students head back to school, you'll see more school buses on our roads and more children walking to bus stops. Please slow down, stay alert, and help us keep everyone safe.

Remember these important bus safety tips:
🛑 Stop when a school bus extends its stop arm and activates its flashing red lights. Children may be crossing the road.
🚸 Slow down in school zones and obey the posted speed limits.
📵 Eliminate distractions—put the phone down and keep your focus on the road.
👀 Watch carefully for children near bus stops, especially during the morning and afternoon hours.
⏰ Leave a few minutes earlier if needed. A little extra patience can save a life.
Parents, please remind your children to wait for the bus in a safe location, stay out of the roadway, and always look both ways before crossing the street.

Our deputies will be out throughout the county helping ensure a safe start to the school year. Together, we can make tomorrow—and every school day—a safe one for our students, bus drivers, and families.
