Ozark, Missouri has the potential to be a successful self sustaining community that protects the environment. Sadly its leaders have created a bedroom community that encourages people to live here and work in outlying areas. We the People Will Not be Silenced
Stop Ozark Annexation· Tuesday, March 17, 2020·
Our families along with surrounding property owners have concerns with Annexation #2020-477 (re: the 363 acres located at 2000-3170 block of South 6th Ave.) This property affects 6th Ace, Elk Valley Rd, Prospect Ave and Selmore Road. We have been (informed by the developer) that once the property (363 acres) is annexed into the city limits, the intention is to build five homes per acre. We have drawn up two petitions to prevent to the city at the next meeting on When meetings are resumed in Ozark. For the city to consider our concerns, we need 500 signatures of registered voters, if you would like to hear the two proposals we will present to the city, please contact us via Facebook, twitter or through our website https://www.stopozarkannex.com/index.php/contact/

This is a grassroots effort of concerned citizens of Ozark, who love the heritage and history of the town and want to preserve its historical and small town charm. We tried to speak at the so called hearing by the Planning and Zoning Board on February 24th, 2020 and ask questions and let them hear our concerns. Our questions were ignored and our concerns were dismissed as all the board members present voted to annex the property in question. Since they would not listen to the handful of people who spoke up at the meeting, we decided to let as many people in Ozark as possible know about the city plans and let their voices be heard as well. Please like our page and sign both petitions against the destruction of our land and be sure to share them with everyone you know in Christian County, Missouri.

I should let you know that Ozark Planning and Zoning did vote to approve the small homes zoning. One of the members even insisted before the vote that "History doesn't matter"
Perhaps that will be the new tag line for Ozark City Hall
'Come to Ozark, Missouri, where history doesn't matter.'
Those of us who were at the meeting said how we felt about the zoning and as the Planning and Zoning Board prepared to vote, the developer decided to table his petition to rezone for now.

Ozark citizens need to save our community from out of town developers who have no interest in preserving our community.

Ozark wants you to renew bonds for the schools then increase property taxes to increase funding for the schools. The first one doesnt increase your taxes but the second DOES. The city also wants to get taxes for roads.
If they really wanted to invest in OZARK, they would get some manufacturing facilities and create good paying jobs instead of constantly destroying farmland to build houses.
Preserve the farmland and build in areas that can produce jobs for the people already living here. It takes careful planning but it can be done.
Personally, I will be voting no to all taxes. I need every dollar I can to pay for food and gas.

This is too funny. Ozark Aldermen passes Dark Skies ordnance thinking it will satisfy the pi**ed of people of OZARK who are having huge housing developments pushed into rural areas.
