With all that has been happening and all the division I see within the community I would like to share how I feel about the recent situation and for any coming situations.
There is a curse that follows the good. The more you give, the more they take. The more you love, the more they betray. We stand in silence holding our pain because we think that’s what strength is. But deep down we wonder why me, why always me? We sacrifice ourselves for people who don't even care for us. We forgive those who cut us the deepest and in return the world rewards us with scars. But hear me now, our kindness is not weakness, the world doesn't break the weak it breaks the strong. It fears those who can endure, so let them hurt us, let them doubt us. Every scar we carry is proof that you all chose to rise to stay kind when the world begged us to be cruel. Our pain is proof of our power, stay good even when it hurts.
For there is no such thing as a painless lesson, they just don't exist. Sacrifices are necessary, You can't gain anything without losing something at first. Although you can endure that pain and walk away from it to find out that you now have a heart strong enough to overcome any obstacle.
Let us remember that it is not wise to judge others based on your own preconceptions and their appearances. We are obsessed with the lineage of the city which is a compulsiveness that enslaves us. All it does is limit our capabilities and that in turn leads us to fear what we don't understand. I have had enough of this throughout my life in the city. I ask you now, do you wish to stay trapped in the past or move forward as a community to reach higher goals? I do not wish to raise our future children in past needs and wants but to thrive to push further to build a functional society and to remove the cancer that will ultimately take the future of Ozark away from us and our youth.
We should thrive to try new things. Failures are a painful lesson, however those lessons can grow us into a stronger community and come together to learn from those lessons and fix the mistakes that others refuse to fix. We must strive for change if we ever wish for this community to grow. Our own youth don't even want to stay around because as we all know there is nothing.
We all go to different communities and cities to enjoy ourselves instead of coming up with ideas to fix our problems.
We must stop sweeping our problems under the rug no matter if you are rich or poor. We are all one in this community, I want to see Ozark take that step forward together and start putting our differences aside. I know that the election is a distance out, however we are the people that need to make change no matter of your “social statues”. I am tired of the good ole boy system in this community and plan on cutting this cancer out because once again we must grow as one.
I am aware that many people may not like me for I am “rude” and a “jerk”. I will not apologize for not being politically correct for I am honest and stand true to my word. So, you may not like what I say, however I will be the first to take your advice and work with you to come together to make a better future. Just because there is a title of mayor or city council does not mean that we get to make the decisions behind closed doors without the people. The people not only within the city but also the county are a community that will come together with ideas to help grow us as one.
For the ones that know me, know that I would give my life for this community and for the ones that don’t, I wish for you to reach out to me so we may grow together. There should be no strangers inside this city no matter who you are or what you may believe in. At the end of the day, we are all humans that want to help one another and our community. As I have said before, there are people out there that just want to watch the world burn and there will always be people like that no matter where you go. If we wish to strive for growth, then join me and I promise you that we can figure out any issue as one community and not just as individuals that live in a community with some type of hierarchy system trying to control the weak.
I want to thank everyone that has shown their continued support for this campaign and community, and I know that we will work together for a better future.
