This month, our Palatka PAL youth continued to GROW, LEARN, and MAKE A DIFFERENCE! 🙌🏽

🧠 Changing the Way I Think!
Our youth engaged in meaningful activities with their mentors focused on “Changing the Way I Think” — learning how to shift their mindsets, embrace positive thinking, build confidence, and make choices that support their personal growth. 🌱💭

💗 Making a Difference at the 2026 Pink Walk & Festival!
Our PAL youth also continued their commitment to community service by participating in the 2026 Pink Walk & Festival! They showed up ready to serve by:

🎉 Walking positively and spreading encouragement
📣 Cheering on participants and uplifting the crowd
📸 Enjoying and assisting at the photo box stop
🤝 Working at event stations and supporting festival activities

We are so proud of our youth for demonstrating leadership, teamwork, kindness, and a commitment to giving back! These experiences remind us that mentoring is more than building relationships — it’s about developing positive mindsets, strengthening character, and empowering the next generation to become active, caring leaders in their community. 💖

⚾️🥎 FREE BASEBALL + SOFTBALL CAMP 🥎⚾️

We’re excited to open the field to ALL kids in our community! ❤️

The Palatka TailGators, Palatka Police Athletic League & 386 River Bandits are teaming up to host a FREE Baseball + Softball Camp at Sweet Owen’s Field on Sunday, November 1st at 2:00 PM!

This is NOT an advanced or elite-level camp. Our goal is simple, get kids outside, introduce them to the game, and have some fun!

We’ll go over the basics of baseball and softball, including:
⚾️ Throwing & catching
🥎 Hitting
⚾️ Fielding
🥎 Base running
⚾️ Basic rules & understanding the game
🥎 Teamwork, sportsmanship & having fun

Whether your child has played for years, has never picked up a glove, or is just curious about baseball or softball, we want them there!

We especially want to reach kids throughout our community who may not always have the opportunity to participate in organized sports. There is no cost, no experience required, and everyone is welcome.

Come hang out, meet some new friends, learn a little baseball/softball and enjoy an afternoon at the ball field!

🌱💜💛 GROWING MINDS, ONE SEED AT A TIME! 💛💜🌱

The Palatka PAL Mentoring Program, in partnership with the Iota Mu Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc is bringing STEAM learning to life through an exciting, hands-on herb planting experience! 🌿🪴

Our youth are learning that STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) can be explored in the most meaningful ways—even in the garden! Through planting herbs, our mentees are developing critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, patience, and an appreciation for the world around them.

We are so excited to see what our youth grow, create, and discover through this experience! From planting their first seeds to watching their herbs flourish, we look forward to seeing the amazing outcomes of their hard work and creativity. 🌱✨

This is what mentoring is all about: planting seeds of knowledge today to grow leaders for tomorrow! 💚

The Palatka Police Athletic League has postponed its Motorcycle Fundraiser ride. We plan to conduct the ride in early Spring of 2027. We look forward to seeing you all there. Date to be determined
